This week, the Revuto team will pack its bags as we head for the Cardano Summit 2024 in Dubai. The Summit is scheduled for the 23rd and 24th of October, and those dates mark a significant milestone for the Revuto project as the long-expected core feature — subscription management supporting debit cards for payments — will be launched.
For the last three and a half years, Revuto has spent enormous time and resources developing these important features while the community exercised patience. Now, we are ready to deliver.
For crypto, timing is crucial, and we can even say that timing is everything. Due to the cycles and hype, to launch and have a profound impact, the product needs to be aligned with macro factors surrounding crypto. That is why, now, in Q4 24, we have decided to start showing all the progress and everything that we have been working on so far. To start, we’ll launch the Revuto v4 version of the app and let first users control and manage their subscriptions using Revuto debit cards.
Cardano Summit 2024.
The Debit Cards will be launched during the biggest and the most important yearly event that Cardano has — the Cardano Summit 2024 in Dubai. This is our way of saying thank you to the Cardano community and our users so we can showcase Revuto’s feature and how it benefits every user who will take back control over their subscription payments and how Revuto works directly on onboarding new non-crypto users to Cardano. Therefore, the best possible time and place for this majestic moment will be the Summit — Connecting Cardano people with the real-world use case, which is something that we consider to be highly beneficial for crypto adoption in general.
Who’s coming?
Along with Vex (CEO), three more team members will accompany him there: Luka (key person for the Custodial wallet), Dodo (Lead backend Dev), and Tin (Biz Dev). The rest of Revuto’s team will provide full support and keep developing the app.
It is worth mentioning that Revuto is a Silver sponsor of the event, meaning that we’ll have a booth there so you can visit us. Alongside the booth, Revuto will hold a MasterClass during which we will present and launch Revuto v4 and the debit card program. The masterclass is scheduled for Day 1 in Room 2, from 14:00 to 14:50 local (Dubai) time.
What will the launch look like?
- Revuto will hold a masterclass during which the Revuto v4 for iOS and Android will go live
- As soon as the feature is launched, you can update your Revuto app to the new version that supports debit card issuing.
- Cardano Summit attendees can drop by our booth, while others can message us at support@revuto.com to provide their User ID (located in the account settings) to enable Debit Cards in v4.
- Also, please note that the feature is only for EEA and UK residents (KYC verification with Proof of Address is mandatory).
- Our registered beta testers, BE READY because Revuto will email you as soon as the app is live so you can be among the first to test it.
- We’ll ask you to share your feedback, suggestions, and ideas on improving the app before we go with an official launch.
Because only a few users will be allowed to access the Debit Cards from October 23rd, we’ll call this a “Soft Launch”. After we get confirmation that everything is working properly, the full scope of the version will be available to all users from the EEA. Also, the first users of v4 will still use a “Freemium” version of the app, allowing them to get up to 3 Virtual Debit Cards to assign to their subscriptions for free.
For those needing more cards, we will also activate the new Referral program and allow them to unlock additional debt cards by inviting their friends to Revuto. For every two referred users who make their first payment with Revuto, you will receive an additional Virtual Debit Card, meaning — The more people you invite, the more cards you can get!
It’s important to understand that the first version of Revto v4 offering active subscription management with Debit Cards is not even close to a final product. The v4 “Soft Launch” is just the beginning and an essential step towards becoming a Financial Powerhouse with an ecosystem of products.
After the launch, fixing bugs, and adding UIX improvements, the second step will be launching the Revuto PRO version, which will allow users to get up to 10 debit cards, receive cashback in REVU on every payment they make, Snooze payments for up to 30 days, and upgrade to get additional cards (per package). Revuto PRO is also significant as it paves the way for REVU Tokenomics to kick in and generate the first revenue stream for Revuto.
Revuto is on the way to becoming a one-stop solution for all your Subscriptions.
To start regaining momentum for the next bull cycle in crypto, in the upcoming months, you can expect other fantastic products that deep-dive into all your subscription problems to help you save money. Therefore, get ready for products such as; “Stake to Subscribe,” “Buy Now, Pay Later,” “Subscription NFTs,” and many others.
** Revuto is a fintech product offering traditional finance and crypto products. Still, that doesn’t mean you can’t use our Debit Cards for subscription payments without using any of our crypto components — you can. However, unlike other fintech companies, adding crypto to the setup allows only Revuto to offer unique financial products with enhanced user experience.
Revuto is also making progress on issuing debit cards for general spending, which are expected to go live sometime next year.
To deliver all this, Revuto complies with all the regulations, especially MiCA and DORA, as the company is registered in the EU. Revuto already holds the e-money license from the Bank of Lithuania, and we are obtaining the VASP license from the local regulator, which will allow us to provide the Custodial wallet and custodial crypto exchange features. With this, Revuto is fully regulated to operate in the EEA. Later, Revuto will expand to other regions such as APAC, MENA, South America, and eventually the USA.
An enhanced token swap feature is coming.
Recently, Revuto has launched Token Swap for exchanging CNTs for ADA in the Cardano (non-custodial wallet) in partnership with DexHunter, but that’s also just a first step towards the ultimate swap feature we’re preparing for you. The team is working on the Cross-chain swap feature that will go live after we launch the Custodial wallet. Having both non-custodial and custodial wallets in the single app will allow our users to swap any Cardano Native Token for the most popular crypto tokens, such as BTC, ETH, SOL, etc, and vice versa. With just a few taps within the app, you can swap BTC, BNB, MATIC to SNEK, WMT, and other CNTs. To make things even more interesting, Revuto will reward every token swap with R tokens while buying the R tokens back to keep the R token economy sustainable. More about the mechanics of the R token within the Revuto Token Swap feature will be explained in the upcoming R token Whitepaper.
New CEX listings are coming.
Once the Cross-chain Swap feature is live, Revuto will add liquidity to the Cardano DEXs and launch the token with new CEXs to provide a seamless user experience when swapping REVU for other cryptos. Revuto is already listed on KuCoin and Gate.io, but as mentioned, expect new CEX listings in 2025 until we eventually list with Binance.
