2024: Here we come!

Dear Revutonians,

Today we’re witnessing BTC going above $60k, and this is just the beginning. A day ago, our CEO, Vex, gave a nice overview about why the next bull cycle could be bigger than ever and what we can expect from crypto in general in the future. In short, everything leads towards the conclusion that crypto is ready for the mainstream and that we could see a big bump in crypto adoption among people all over the world. This news wouldn’t be so important if Revuto weren’t planning to jump the train and get us ready for what’s coming this year and, most likely, in 2025 — the next crypto craze!

Since the beginning of the year, the Revuto team has put all its efforts into development activities, which will result in the most significant updates for Revuto so far. The first update is just around the corner. Developers are polishing up the final touches, functionalities are being tested, and you can expect to get what we’re showing you today in the upcoming days.

Still, that’s just the beginning of more great things coming because we expect the biggest change for our ecosystem to happen in Q2. This is expected before June 1st, when we’ll launch our much-anticipated core feature — the debit card program. Launching the debit card program is especially important because the company will introduce the Revuto Pro feature, which will start generating revenue for the company by charging users for premium features. More significantly, this will also kickstart the REVU token economy as there will be an option to unlock premium features by purchasing REVU tokens and staking them for 12 months. But before we get into more details with the Revuto 2024 roadmap, let’s jump to what’s important today, and that’s going through all the new features we prepared for you in the next app update!

New Revuto Wallet

Revuto was one of the first projects on Cardano to introduce a non-custodial wallet integrated in mobile apps. It was a huge achievement for the team and also very important as we were getting ready for the first token releases from the ICO. The whole idea of having the wallet inside the app was to support an ecosystem of unique products built on blockchain technology. Especially ICO token releases as well as staking pools, and later DeFi and NFTs. Still, entering a bear market as soon as 6 months after the ICO, the team didn’t have enough time and luck with 3rd party service providers to release its most important feature — the debit card program — on time. Entering the bear market slowed things down, and, consequently, development of the Revuto Wallet was put on hold.

Today, the story is completely different. The crypto market is picking up, engagement is coming back, and fresh liquidity is coming. This all allows us to say: It’s time to put the “Pedal to the metal”. As a result, the new Revuto Wallet is coming, ready to support numerous features that will follow in the upcoming days:

New features include a new design and layout for sending and receiving tokens, claiming tokens from the ICO feature were moved to wallet settings, added support for many of the most popular CNTs, token price charts supporting daily, weekly, and monthly price performance, links to the token’s CoinMarketCap webpage, and functionalities ready for easy token swap and VDC top-up (coming by June 1st).

Still, all of the above is not even close to what you can expect to see in the next wallet update, which will come shortly. Soon, Revuto will use the same UIX to launch our custodial wallet, which will, finally, bring the most popular crypto assets to the Revuto ecosystem. The importance of adding a custodial wallet is beyond words. Revuto deserves a much bigger addressable market than its non-custodial Cardano wallet can secure, meaning you’ll be able to use your BTC, ETH, MATIC, USDT, and USDTC to send, receive, stake, and swap within the app. And, of course, use the most popular crypto assets to pay for your subscriptions.

E-vouchers

One of the biggest new features Revuto is betting on is the E-voucher. We believe there’s an opportunity to fix the FIAT in the crypto onboarding process and offer the easiest and fastest way to onboard cash into crypto. For that, with our partners in specific places, we decided to sell e-vouchers for cash, which you can later scan with the Revuto app to get crypto directly in your Revuto Wallet. To test the feature, we decided to launch the product at more than 200 locations in Spain and allow users to buy those vouchers and unlock REVU tokens with the app. If all goes well, the feature will come to 20k offline retail places sometime in 2024. Also, as we’ll have a custodial wallet in the app, the feature will support unlocking not only REVU but also other popular crypto assets. In addition to on-ramping cash to crypto, the feature will support off-ramping Crypto back to FIAT. To redeem a voucher at specific locations and get cash, you can create a special code with the Revuto app. Soon, we’ll inform you where you can buy these e-vouchers, and both features will work with REVU.

Besides offering a very useful functionality, the feature should bring us new users and, consequently, new REVU token holders. The more REVU token utility, the better.

Altwin

Altwin was one of our first integrations, and, with our partners, we plan to upgrade the user experience so that users can access all the benefits from that integration in a much easier way. To those who have access to the service (non-EU and non-UK customers), now we’ll introduce Altwin in the main menu offering: AW balance check, withdraw REVU from AW balance to the REVUTO wallet, claim claimable REVU tokens from Revuto Referral Program directly to Revuto, redeem E-voucher to Altwin and some users will be offered fields to fill with information to buy and sell REVU from Altwin agents.

Again, a better integration with external services like AW should expand the REVU token utility.

Tiles

With time, the Revuto app will become a hub for many unique features and services built on web3 technology. To navigate them in 2022, we’ve introduced an improved UIX and main app navigation, but we’re far from done. With the next app update, you’ll see the first tiles, which will serve to promote what’s hot and what’s coming to Revuto. At the beginning, the tiles will be static and lead to specific links or features within the Revuto app. Later, you can expect to see animated tiles, but, more importantly, please start using the app more frequently to check what we’re promoting to you via those tiles so you can be the first to know about it!

Later, we’ll introduce more tiles and use them to suggest new apps and services that you could be interested in trying with Revuto (without falling into the free-trial traps) according to your preferences and the apps you’re already paying for with Revuto. For instance, if we see that the majority of users who are using Netflix and Spotify, like you, are also using Disney+, and you don’t have Disney+, we’ll use the tiles to recommend that you try Disney+. The feature should provoke a hook-up effect within the app, inviting you to occasionally open the app and check what you could try to subscribe with. Also, we may use the feature for up-selling services that pay us to promote them and, more importantly, to promote new partnerships, integrations, staking opportunities, ICOs, and more.

Other improvements and bug fixes

The last time Revuto did an update was 6 months ago, and during that time, our users noticed some bugs to fix and UIX improvements to be made.

  • User ID added in the app settings
  • R token Airdrop balance (learn more about how to participate in the upcoming post)
  • Your TVL balance in the Revuto Staking Center
  • Fixed $ADAhandle integration
  • Improved subscription screen loading

What to expect in the next app updates before v4:

  • Custodial wallet supporting multi-chain assets
  • REVU balance from the referral rewards and vouchers shown in the custodial wallet
  • Improved non-custodial wallet restore function
  • Improved Receive token screen showing a deposit address
  • Improved Send token screen for the custodial wallet
  • REVU / ADA swap
  • Integration with the Battle Alliance platform/game
  • Mark in-app notifications as “seen”
  • Sort Tokens in the Revuto wallet according to the MC

For the full functionality of the Revuto custodial wallet, we’re waiting for a VASP license from the local financial regulator, HANFA.

The Staking Center

With the new app, we’ll be ready to unpause the Staking Center again. This time we’ll start with unlocking REVU first, as we have users with locked-up REVU for more than 6 months now. We can’t emphasize how sorry we are for all the inconvenience we caused you by not being able to process pending requests for unstaking, but more than anybody, we want to put it behind us and regain your trust. As promised, all affected users will be compensated for the delays with significantly boosted stakes and some other rewards. We’ll cover that topic specifically in the next blog post so you can hear about the process one more time and decide if you want to keep your REVU staked with Revuto (no lock-up period) to be eligible for the big R Token Airdrop. Before releasing the next article about the topic, feel free to read our past article for some good information.

The expected roadmap for 2024.

The most significant app updates are scheduled for the first half of 2024. To make all of that happen, Revuto has added 5 additional developers to the development team to speed up the process — 3 on the backend side and 2 on the front end to help us build the mobile app.

Please check your Revuto app and follow our announcements because, in March, we’ll tell you how to apply for the early public beta testing of the Revuto v4. Besides letting all Revuto BTC ordinal owners participate, we’ll also give 200 selected users access to our Debit Card feature and test it out before we allow the same to other eligible users (EEA/UK citizens).

The conclusion

More than ever, the team is happy to be in full power again. There are so many things we want to share that it is impossible to put everything in one blog post and make it short. Still, as promised, the CEO will address all that was happening and what will happen in the upcoming video.

We know what the bear market was, though, so once again, we thank all the investors, users, REVU token holders, NFT owners, followers, and supporters, partners, and other contributors for believing in us. The best things for Revuto are yet to come, and they’ll come — be sure about that.
