Revuto Community Invited to Green Light Token Generation Event

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: the Revuto community is the lifeblood of our project. A fact reflected by both our sign-up stats and social engagement. So when it comes to decision-making, we like to leverage the voice of the people.

Have Your Say on Our TGE

With this in mind, we have created a new poll on our official Telegram group, enabling over 20,000 members to decide when we perform our REVU Token Generation Event (TGE).

We invite more than 2.1 million users pre-registered for the app to join the poll at the link: https://t.me/getrevuto/104424. The poll will be closed today at 6 pm UTC.

By letting our community members have their say on such a landmark event in the Revuto roadmap, we’re giving them the opportunity to shape the future of our platform.

Fittingly, the decision to hold a poll was influenced by the community too — after 89% confirmed they wanted to participate in decisions that affected Revuto.

The anonymous poll offers four options:

June 25 (better vote fast if that’s your choice!)
July 5
July 9 and
July 14

Following the TGE, the minted supply of 280,125,000 REVU tokens will be held in a particular address owned by Revuto.

Because we recognize the importance of transparency, we want our community to gain an insight into that public address, so they can see what’s going on in real time. The public address will therefore be disclosed in the near future.

It’s important to bear in mind that the contents of this wallet address are not part of the circulating supply; only funds that leave the wallet enter circulation. Rest assured that tokens reserved for the project will not go on sale — they are ring-fenced for the referral program, cashback, APR, fees, operating costs, etc.

We also want to assure users that the current, shall we say, choppy state of the crypto market has no bearing on the Token Generation Event: we are not influenced by events in the cryptosphere when it comes to the TGE. Consequential though it is, the Token Generation Event simply involves the minting of REVU tokens and preparations for releasing said tokens into the circulating supply.

Admittedly, there may be something to be said for hosting an earlier TGE — not least so that we have more time to prepare ahead of the September mainnet release, whereupon 43m REVU tokens from community sales will be released. Ultimately though, it’s up to the community.

At the time of writing, over 1,500 votes have been cast and June 25 is leading the way with 53% of the vote. Interestingly, the next most popular option is July 14.

Why not have your say by casting a vote? There’s still time to influence when the TGE goes down. Needless to say, we’ll report the final results in due course.

The Revuto App is Almost Ready

Currently, all hands are on deck as we ready the Revuto app for release. Final testing is well underway, and we remain hopeful that the dApp will be ready for download in early July.

We can’t wait for you all to see the fruits of our labour. The Revuto app will transform the subscription economy overnight, enabling users to Block, Snooze and Approve subscription charges (Netflix, Spotify, etc) at the touch of a button.

The first version of the app will display the collected REVU tokens from the referral program, and the full version of the app (Block, Snooze, Approve and other features) goes live in September. More details about the app will be announced soon!

Better still, you’ll be able to pay for subscription goods and services using crypto thanks to the functionality of the REVU token. Swap unused subscriptions with friends, split the cost just like a lunch bill. And even earn cashback in the process.
